Ecstatic to see Obama win the Presidential election, I hope he can now live up to his name and deliver the change we desperately need.
As far as Proposition 8 is concerned in California, I'm for the people voting but I want this issue to be settled nationally. Not just state-by-state, the entire United States. Either allow gay marriage universally or abolish it altogether. It's a joke to have it run by the states and the division between supporters and opponents is only going to grow.
Horrible time right now for both China and Myanmar, I simply wish conditions would improve for both areas. Especially China, on the verge of hosting the Olympics. It seems like natural disasters are growing only worse these days..
Thank GOD my laptop is alive again. My hard drive completely fried and I lost everything from my memory. Very sad, so I'm in a sense starting all over again, a rebirth if you will. It's nice to have my laptop again up and running as now I can do my homework on it instead of having to run to the library all the time.
I managed to get one victory in the Brawl national championship, so I can at least put that under my belt. My second match I was getting tossed around by a Squirtle but came back and made it a very close fight. I got a star KO on his Charizard but ran out of time so the KO didn't count. It was a lot of fun trying out the game in front of so many people, at least 500 showed up to watch, but I wish the format was a lot better than what we were stuck with. I used Pikachu for the first match and won against link and lost with Mario in the second. I would love to have a do-over if I could, but what can ya do. It was a ton of fun, hopefully they bring it back to here again for a 4th Super Smash Bros. title :)
So everyone like the game so far? Finally have unlocked everyone and beat the game. I won't spoil it but it was much longer than I expected but very satisfying just the same. My main in Sonic, go figure right? But I love Pokemon Trainer and Pit, it'll take some time to get used to the newcomers. Especially Olimar, my God what a strange character. And Green Hill Zone has the best songs :D
If you'd like to fight me online, my Brawl code is 2921-8748-9017. See you guys then, post your codes here and I'll add you back ^^
I'm finally back from vacation! Feels weird to be back at home again but in less than a week I'll be back at school and hopefully getting ready for another great Super Bowl run by the Patriots. My trip though was amazing! Funny how in Florida the weather can change so quickly from record high in the 80s to record lows below zero (not even topping 30!), but Disney and Universal are always fun places to visit. Hope everyone had a nice holiday season.
Just came to check out that Brawl is delayed again! The new launch date is March 9th, so at least it isn't 2 months again. But still, less than a month to go and another delay? This is getting to be torture. Japan was only delayed a week so they'll have the game by the end of the month and all rumors/characters will be revealed online. I've been looking forward to this game for over 3 years but I know the wait will be well worth it when launch finally comes. Even before Sonic was announced I knew this game was special, so if it means more changes to make it better I'm all for it.
So right now I'm still settling in and just enjoying a day off ^^
For those of you who watch Avatar: The Last Airbender, the newest episode, Ch. 12 "The Western Air Temple," has aired yesterday in Canada and is now available online:
Phew, very close game for the Patriots. But hey, a win's a win. They're 12-0 on the season with 4 games to go. I'm going to the Steelers next week and cannot wait. Can they go the distance? I sure hope so.
Just yesterday I was able to not only obtain 1 but 2 Nintendo Wiis. I bought one and my father bought the other for me. So now I'm going to put them up on eBay next week for sale.
Today was even better. The school decided to hold a small poker tournament on campus for about 2 hours. I also tried out the "ticket blowing machine" where you're inside a miniature moonwalk trying to get as many tickets as possible (normally you see these things with money), which I stuffed into my sweatshirt pouch. After putting all the tickets I won into a raffle, I won not only a good secondary prize of $20 to Applebee's but the grand prize also of $100 to Circuit City. Maybe I can use that for a 3rd Nintendo Wii, lol.
School just needs to end now to make everything perfect :)
Now that the holiday season is officially here, I'm opening my own little store. All the proceeds will go directly to my Christmas shopping and money saved for Disney this December. Take a look at what I have going so far:
Only a week in being out on the market and already some are claiming that Super Mario Galaxy is the best game ever made? Even more so than Ocarina of Time? Don't get me wrong, I love Mario to death but is it really that good? To those of you who already own the game, has it really lived up to that type of hype?
When you're considered better than Ocarina of Time, then you have my attention as a must-buy. I can't wait to play this game come Christmas but wow, talk about some great compliments on a game that's just touched the gaming market
This week's been especially a drag, one of the busiest semesters I've ever had to deal with. But being a senior is indeed awesome on so many levels. It's a shame it goes by so fast. Every morning is a daily routine of checking the Dojo website on the latest news, which has been very dull lately. Ever since Sonic, King Dedede, and the Stage Builder updates there hasn't been a whole lot to talk about. I still think the game will be the game of the decade but let's get back on track for this entry. I've been working very hard in putting together my resume and looking at new jobs in the market. So far there's a few offers that look tempting but I really have no clue what I want to do. I can say on here I'd love to work as a marketing director for Nintendo and promote games in the open market, but realistically that's in the long-term. Right now I want to find a job that can pay for graduate school and provide the necessary training to get me ready for a good managerial job. Hopefully something local and later expand from there, although I really love the area I live in now. Just so many questions and few answers. Either way, I have a number of job opportunities I will apply for and hopefully something will work out. I need money x.x
Speaking of money, I'm going to have a massive eBay sale coming up in the next few weeks. This will include several Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube games, Sonic Japanese keychains and figures (the Sonic X ones), couple of Atari Flashback systems, and a huge set of Game Boy Advance & Color games. All of which will go to school funding because my bills are starting to pile up. If anyone is interested in what I have to offer let me know. I was happy to do business with Carrie so give me a heads up if you want me to hold something before I upload it on eBay.
I really wish I could renew my subscription on here again, but can't afford it. Ever since the LJ affair where accounts were getting deleted I was hesitant but I really miss using my icons. And now I have no money, dang :(
Gonna cut this entry a bit short, but ending this on a positive note. THANK GOD BARRY BONDS IS INDICTED!! That story totally made my day, over four years in the making. Anyways, after checking Dojo I'm off to bed. Peace out!
I'm less than 24 hours away from headed north of the border and going to Montreal for the weekend. I don't know what to expect really, but I do know I have the freedom to do whatever I want downtown. Probably take the tour around the city and check out some of its popular attractions. They mentioned a casino (not that I have that much money <.<) and several restaurants near the area we're staying at. I have to check it out for myself first, but I highly doubt I'll have any internet usage while I'm there. I'm really excited though about this, I haven't been outside the US in over 8 years when I went for two weeks to Ireland. I just wish it was more than a day and a half, it's not enough time for a trip like this. But I'm still happy I have the chance to go, should be fun.
Apparently I'm in violation of eBay guidelines in trying to sell Monopoly pieces because it promotes gambling. I mean come on, little kids are playing this game for crying out loud, it's not like they're buying lottery tickets or playing keno.
So here's the deal. I have 50 unpeeled Monopoly pieces for sale to those that have been following the game a little bit as it's now ending this week:
I was trying to sell these for $50 on eBay but again, that didn't work. So I'm going to try and sell them to you guys on here for $40 if anyone's interested. PayPal works best, I'll provide the e-mail address in case someone's wants to jump on this offer.
Thanks guys!
And with that, I show you the newest challenger in Brawl (one of my personal favorite villains):
Of all the days they decided to confirm you know who, today was it. I can't believe I missed out in the first moments in hearing this news but regardless, the moment of truth has come!
Big news today! Looks as if now online play WILL be enabled for anyone wanting to play the game via Wi-Fi. That's huge! Now I can get a chance to face off against some of you guys whenever, especially you Lunar :P When the day comes I would love to get as many friend codes as possible :)
